China Institute - Bohan Phoenix Interview
I was asked to interview special guest Bohan Phoenix to kick off the celebration of the Year of the Pig at the China Institute. I met Bohan in 2017 during a trip to Chengdu and watched his career rise to the status it is today. During this conversation in front of a live audience, we talked about growing up in Hubei and Boston, why Eminem inspired him to take rap seriously, hip-hop embracing Asians purely for their talent, his single “YMF,” and more.
